Packable dog bowls: compare size, capacity and care
Compare the current Ruffwear Quencher Medium, Kurgo Collaps A Bowl and Wolf Republic Camp Bowl S/M by their published specifications.
Start with the bowl and the pocket it will go in
A bowl’s capacity tells you how much it holds when open. It does not tell you how much room to leave in your bag. Before choosing a packable bowl, check two things separately: its storage measurements and the cleaning method you can use when you get home.
The table compares manufacturer specifications checked November 6, 2026. It uses the current Quencher Medium, the US Collaps A Bowl listing and the Camp Bowl S/M. Keep the model and size attached to each number. A different size or an older version may have different materials or care directions.
What the three makers specify
An unstated measurement remains unknown. The table does not fill gaps with dimensions from retailers or assume that an open bowl’s width is also its packed width.

Compare capacity in matching units
Use liters or milliliters for each bowl, or compare clearly labeled fluid ounces. Fluid ounces measure volume. An ounce used for weight is a different unit. Because Kurgo’s US page says only ounces, get that unit clarified before calculating an exact capacity difference from this listing.
Keep a bowl’s opening and capacity in separate columns. A diameter alone cannot tell you the volume of a bowl with sloping sides. Nor does a larger listed capacity establish how much space you will leave between the contents and the rim when using it.
Check the full packed shape
Fabric that folds and silicone that compresses give you different packing options. For a narrow pocket, you still need the packed width, length and thickness. For a round bowl that keeps a circular shape, ask for diameter and thickness. A claim that something packs into a pocket is not a measurement of your pocket.
For example, a compartment with a three-quarter-inch gap is not a confirmed fit for an item described only as less than an inch high. It could still be too thick. Measure the empty compartment, then compare it with the bowl in the position you plan to store it. If you already own the bowl, measure its folded shape rather than its rim while open.
Choose a care routine you can actually follow
If you want a bowl you can put in the dishwasher, look for an explicit dishwasher instruction for that model and note the rack. Do not transfer that permission to another bowl because both are sold for travel. Cleaning a dirty area, washing the whole item by hand and using a dishwasher are different instructions.
Check drying separately. Leave space for the stated drying method before putting the bowl away. None of these pages gives a drying time, so the specifications cannot tell you which bowl will be ready to pack first.
Before buying, save the exact model, capacity with its unit, packed measurements and care directions together. If pocket space is the deciding factor, resolve the missing packed measurements first. If your main concern is washing, use the exact care instruction to narrow the choices.
